    Romans 1
16I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 17For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
Oh lord let me not be ashamed of the gospel. Give me boldness, passion, and Your heart toward others. Reveal Yourself, Your righteousness to us Oh Lord. Amen

  2. I see the prayer for God to reveal Himself. Now either we have understood and grasped all mysteries of God in scripture and there is nothing else to be gained by our reading of His word, therefore we are crying out for a different revelation from God that is not already touched on in scripture. Or we need to get back to His word and lot God reveal Himself to us in His word.

Remember Paul only preached from the Law of Moses and the Prophets. The book of Acts make this clear. Paul speaks of a mystery revealed to the prophets. Jesus Himself told the people of His day how foolish and slow of heart they were for not believing all the prophets had spoken. Of our day He asked if the Son of Man would find faith on the earth when He returns?

So what do you think is the answer to your prayer? Is it something extra-Biblical or something we already find in scripture that we have not believed what the prophets had said? Is this prayer a reflection of the Son of Man not finding faith on the earth?

If the Holy Spirit is making us uneasy in our spirits let us really get into His Word.

But if this prayer is for a revelation of His power and this is what is lacking and we seek this, then maybe Jesus doesn’t recognize His word and life in us.
