The Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation

Paul, writing to the believers in Ephesus, tells them that he does not cease to give thanks for them and that he prays for them in this way:

…that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

Father of Glory,

Today we ask that you would give us the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You.
Please, open the eyes of our understanding…
That we may know the hope of Your calling,
The riches of the glory of Your inheritance,
And the exceeding greatness of Your power toward us who believe.

Reveal Yourself.

Today I am reading: Ephesians 1 – 4

One Response to “The Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation”

    James 1:2-7
2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.
I ask Lord for Your wisdom. I thank you Lord that you do give generously. Please help me to believe and not doubt. I ask you to continue to give wisdom to Jonathan, as he trust in You, and seeks You.

I ask for wisdom for my family. Thank You Lord for Your great wisdom.
