The Power of the Kingdom of God

Paul, instructing the church in Corrinth (among other things) to not be puffed up, declares:

“For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power.”

Gentle Master,

It is only by Your power, not by our words, that anything gets done.  Yet time after time, we puff ourselves up with our ability to “figure things out”.  We come to You today to admit that we don’t have it figured out.  And we confess our arrogance (the result of puffing ourselves up), and ask Your forgiveness.  And so, with purified and humbled hearts, we ask You again, reveal Yourself.  Reveal Your power, mighty God.  To us. To the world.  We desire to see You glorified here.  We offer ourselves to You.  Use us to bring about Your purpose.
